Next, the Anthology Workshop I attended in Vegas a week ago.

It went well. Learned a lot, had a lot of fun, and got to catch up with some good friends I haven’t seen in a while. Plus, I sold a short story to a new market!

Yep, Loren Coleman (of Catalyst Game Labs fame) was there reading for the soon-to-launch Fantasy Quarterly magazine. And he liked one of my stories enough to buy it…after I make a couple changes he requested. No idea about the release schedule for it. I’ll share when I do.

So that’s pretty darn cool.

The next thing to talk about is Kickstarter.

I’ve backed many a campaign on that platform, and now I’m getting ready to run one of my own!

I’d thought for a while that I should try it, because it really irks me that the Glimmer Vale Chronicles are sitting there, audiobook incomplete, and have been for a while. But dang, you know how expensive making an audiobook can be.

Or maybe you don’t. Hence the purpose of the Kickstarter.

The campaign is just about ready to go. I’m starting with a small goal, the better to more likely fund. But I’m also setting up stretch goals so that, if I meet them, I can fully realize my vision for the project.

This is just a warning order, to let you, gentle reader, know it’s coming. For now all that exists is a preview page for the campaign. I’m going to spend the next several days spreading the word so as many people as possible know I’m doing it before actually launching, because the faster it funds, the more likely Kickstarter is to boost it on their site, so it can really start earning some bucks!

😉

I’ll be sure to spread the word once it’s live, probably within the week.

Finally, The Infinite Bard.

I’m sharing a story for it this week. It’ll be live here on the site tomorrow night.

Come. Read. Enjoy.

Then go over to The Infinite Bard’s site and show some love to the other writers who are participating.

That’s all I’ve got for this one. Talk to you again tomorrow.
