Book Recommendation – The Dead Drink First

I haven’t done much book pimpage on the blog here aside from my own work in a while. But I feel the need to do so for this one.

I got the audiobook of The Dead Drink First for free from Audible, since subscribers can get a couple of their Audible Originals for free each month as a perk of subscription. Figured it sounded interesting, and it was free so what the heck.

It is a true life story about working through family demons and bringing a fallen WWII veteran’s body back home after a long time away. I figured it would be good. Didn’t figure it would be as good, and as touching, as it was.

Very well produced, as well.

So I’d recommend y’all go check it out. It’s audio only, through Audible, and a follow-up from a previous book written by the author, Bringing Mulligan Home.

Give them both a read/listen. You’ll be glad you did.

I’m participating in two promotions on Bookfunnel during the month of July. The first is a sales promotion. Glimmer Vale (Glimmer Vale Chronicles #1) and Passing In The Night will be discounted to $0.99 and available through the Clean Sci-fi And Fantasy Series Extravaganza, along with some 45 other titles.

And you can get my novella, The Necromancer’s Lair, and/or stories from 70 other writers, for free in the Mighty Men Of Fiction giveaway- if you agree to join our email newsletters. Pretty good deal, if you ask me.

If you enjoy my work and wish to help me continue creating fun stories, consider becoming a supporting patron here on the website. Just a few dollars a month will go a long way toward enabling me to produce more great works for your enjoyment.

And don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter, to stay informed of new releases and special deals. Guaranteed to be spam free, and I won’t share your information with anyone without a court order.
